Diana,

I was wondering exactly what is was that they had you doing over there so the title “Plans” sums it up for me. I am sure you will do a great job of planning things!

Thanks for the link to the thread you started at iidb.org. As you probably saw I registered and my screenname is daveg. By the time my account was validated and I was able to post a reply to your thread entry there were a ton of posts already. I was only able to get in two posts before I had to shut down the PC at home because Ivan was coming. I will return again as soon as I get power on at my house (sometime today I hope). I am glad a site like that exists. Whether you are passionate about being an atheist or a christian you can post until your heart is content and enter into some great debates. I am going to enjoy the current as well as future discussions I will have there. Thanks.

Keep safe and keep practicing your “reaction time.”

I saw you there, David, and responded. I’m pleased you like the site. I assumed you were shutting down operations for Ivan. Hope you and yours are okay. Stay safe.

Hey! Are you working where I’m working? I thought you were in Iraq…

The thing that keeps this interesting is filling unknown requirements within an undefined timeline under a secret budget while being harped on to do it faster and better… Gotta love consulting!

It seems inappropriate that your vendor is able to pressure you to move forward faster. Maybe this is why I work in the less successful companies–we beg not press. Maybe I should work the other way. “Decide already! Do you want this or not?”

And not that there’s not someone there to fill in any gaps, but you know this is what I do as well, albiet for different reasons and wihtout all of the mortars. If you need any help, hints, ideas, or comparative solutions, you know I’m here.

Oh, and if there’s any opportunity for bidding on work… Just kidding, of course. I don’t think I can handle work on your scale. Concepts and management (er, planning), sure, but not implementation or integration.

Hey LT. , Everyone seems to have survived Ivan rather unscathed(other than massive power outages, mine was over 72 hours). remember the old army addage “When in doubt Salute it, if it doesnt salute back,…paint it". Keep your head up and your fanny down.
