I am alarmed by your tones of surprise toward our Army brethren. As you know, if “it” is operational, “it” is not always pretty, and a smart idea costs just as much time and irritation as a dumb idea. Remember that certain folk’s IQ scores and their ASVAB scores are in the same neighborhood. Smile and march on.
Out of respect for you (and lack of room on your BLOG) I passed on commenting on your last rant; however, I would be remiss if I did not include the following:
There are three religious truths:
a. Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
b. Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian faith.
c. Baptists do not recognize each other in the liquor store or at Hooters.
D, how many times have I told you to just press the “I Believe” button and go on about your business? Just try it. It’s the one right next to… no, wait a minute - um, I coulda sworn it was right… oh, never mind.
Unfortunately, you are right about the stupidity of it all. And the fact that we have to trust these people with our lives (literally) is what scares me the most about getting deployed over there. Don’t think I’ll be too far away from where you are because I’m supposed to be going to work for the MNC-1 (unless something changes-and inevitably, things in the military are always subject to change, as you well know!)
And I think Jerry is onto something with the IQ talk…
On an Army kick are we? Did you get that guy in the Air Force I sent you?
Diana, this sounds like some of the stupidity that goes on in education (especially at the higher levels) and has for many years. Just keep that big smile on your face, grit your teeth (HARD!), and keep going. See you at Christmas!
That guy in the AF you sent me? Not sure what you’re talking about, Barb. Oh…and you’re the one who got me on an Army kick. I just never got off it. Thanks to you, I understand the Army too well. :)
How many days ’til retirement?

Well, I remember us getting a radio in off a plane once that had been pissed on by an Army troop. Someone commented how lucky he’d been, since there was exposed high voltage not to far from his target!
If there’s one thing that’s constant (annoyingly so) in the military, it’s change!
You know that guy that wants to be an officer but has not completed middle school yet. I sent him to you because I knew you could help him out. Retirement hits in 7 months but who’s counting.
