Diana,

I think what you’re proposing is admirable, to actually examine the result of a behavior change. It’s scientific. (What’s that old saying about the unexamined life?) But for your reservations about certain behaviors, ask yourself this: “what is my mission?” If your mission is to educate your cadets, then the desire to not interrupt may be counter to that. In other words, know where your priorities are and fit your goals within them. If your priority is to not interrupt, then maybe a teaching job isn’t for you. (I can’t believe I just said that. (Grin))

As for blogging, I’m not sure what benefit you expect from not offering information about yourself. If you have a concern about privacy then blogging isn’t a good idea. If you’re trying to be more engaging in converation, then blog away - a blog isn’t a conversation. And if it makes things easier, consider yourself explicitly asked.

Dave
