Diana,

That’s a “good deal” by anybody’s definition.

The move sounds like a big change for the current owners, and that’s always stressful. Downsizing a home, especially a home full of precious things, is hard. (Heck, it was hard for me and most of what I own is junk.) You’ve helped them de-stress a lot.

Are you moved to Colorado now, or still just visiting?

When you get all moved there, you have to go to an italian restaurant called Zio’s Italian Kitchen. It’s very reasonably priced and just a nice night out. Order the Artichoke Spinach Pasta and you won’t go wrong. :-)

Ooooh. Pat, that sounds fabulous! Thanks for the tip–all the way down to the recommended dish. :)

I was just visiting. That was the househunting phase. I have a bit less than two months in Alabama before I pick up roots and move. You’re coming on a year in Japan, aren’t you? Is it a three-year tour?

Yup, sitting at 11 months here now. Finished my exec tour and now I’m the SCS flight commander. :-)

It is a three year tour, so two more to go. I’m going to just miss you when I’m in Montgomery for SOS this summer. Class starts July 24th.

Hiya Diana,

There’s nothing that feels better than a good business deal - that’s why it pisses you off so much when one goes sour afterwards, (don’t forget to cover your arse* legally and don’t make too many promises out of feel-good motives without considering how they might bite you in the butt later on).

But otherwise that is good to hear.

Haven’t been able to keep track of what you are doing lately - have my damn ‘Real LifeTM’ interfering.

Have been active on IIDB and at least like to think that my views and thinking ability are maturing.

Why Colorado Springs, (a place Wikipedia describes as, “the Protestant Vatican")?

*"Cover your arse” means to protect yourself from future repercussions, (I have had a lot of non-Australians query this term).
