Yep! You have me looking for a new post every time I get online, and still nothing! Then, tonight, I see that there are two new comments—and you aren’t even apologizing about enjoying your trip to Italy and leaving us all in the lurch!!!

Take care, Dear, and let us hear from you occasionally, at least! Love you!

Hi, Diana! You’ve been bookmarked, and are now living just below Pharyngula - just thought you might like to know.

Along with #1 is this old suggestion from Rick Steves: only take clothes that are washable - like in the hotel bathroom sink. Most clothes dry well enough hanging overnight from the shower curtain rod, and if they wrinkle badly, you brought the wrong ones.

Diana,

I’ve banged into that last point (about bringing something home) a number of times. When we’d go on vacation as a family we always overpacked and brought back a ton of souvenirs. These days if I absolutely need a souvenir, I get a ball cap.
