			<description>&lt;p&gt;There problem here is really, imho, labeling modern martial arts as &amp;#8220;self-defense&amp;#8221; classes. Martial arts are primarily ART, as I see it. The point is to be graceful and lithe and to win *tournaments*, where everyone IS following the rules of the game. While these forms were derived from what was originally self-defense, the way they stand now is anything but&amp;#8211;for the reasons you mentioned of course.&lt;/p&gt;
